The earth laughs in flowers

So many of you know that I have had the flu. After being stuck in the house for days upon days, I had to get out for a bit today and take some photos. Lucky for me, Mel, Jodie and Justine were free to humor me. We braved the off and on rain and incorporated some beautiful flowers into this shoot. It was last minute, but I managed to get some wonderful shots of these 3 beautiful ladies. The great part about this impromptu photo shoot, is that it was fun! I cleared my mind, spent some time out in the fresh air and with great company.

I always enjoy my time behind the camera and I always enjoy being spontaneous. I rarely plan a shoot in full detail. It starts with a thought, a spark an idea and then no planning until last minute, the day of. It makes it a lot more fun and real, I feel. Too much thought is exhausting! I know this wouldn't work for most people, but I love it! So enjoy my last minute shoot - with flowers, wonderful ladies, rain, sun and a teenage boy on a bike who rode past and said, "you are all beautiful." It was a great day!

Can't take my EYES off of you...

Mel and I enjoyed our day with the girl who has the most UNBELIEVABLE eyes we have ever seen. Melissa, was taken out of her comfort zone today and rolled around in the mud for us, got dirty, even under her fingernails...lol. And let me tell you, that is something! Melissa, prefers to be clean, and mud free. But we know she secretly enjoyed it and I'm sure will be up for another mud fest soon! Thank you for the wonderful day Melissa. Your eyes and smile are so wonderful to photograph. Me and Mel kind of love you! xo

I already miss you!

I love Christine! Seriously, she is one of the nicest, kindest most beautiful young ladies I have ever met - inside and out. You know when you meet someone for the first time and you feel an INSTANT connection, well that is what happened when I met this beauty. I felt like I had known her forever. Christine told me today that this was her 5th photo shoot with me. I love that she trusts me enough to keep coming back and allowing me to photograph her. I can't even begin to explain the fun we have, the laughs we have, and the crazy situations we seem to get ourselves in. Well... I'll be honest, the crazy situations I seem to get her in. I am the instigator, not going to lie. Enjoy her beauty! xo

The best of you...

So out on this BEAUTIFUL day, I was able to photograph the GORGEOUS Sarah. This also was her first photo shoot and she is a natural! Her hair is amazing, and well when you view her photos you will see how unique and incredibly stunning she really is. What we loved about Sarah is the uncertainty she had regarding ideas for photos, but ALWAYS threw caution to the wind and went for it. That takes courage! So BRAVO Sarah! I am so happy that I was lucky enough to meet her and photograph her. I hope you love your photos Sarah!? We sure do LOVE you! xo xo

365 days of loving Luca

Megan is mom to Luca. Luca is going to be 1 in a few days. I was lucky enough to be hired by Megan to take photos of her and Luca when he was first born. I seriously cannot believe he is going to be one! It just goes to show you how time flies and how very important it is to cherish every moment you have with your children. I always tell new moms - "don't blink" because if you do, they will be standing there all grown up and ready to start their own families. Your son is amazing Megan. You are a great mom!!! Happy, happy birthday Luca. xo

Beautiful Butterfly

I really thought it was going to rain this afternoon and I wouldn't have the opportunity to meet Chrissy and her wonderful friend Marie. Thankfully the rain held off and we were able to meet and complete Chrissy's FIRSt photo shoot. She was brave and willing to try anything, including placing her feet in cold water and mud. What a girl! Mel and I really enjoyed meeting these two remarkable ladies. Chrissy has the most amazing eyes, beautiful freckles on her nose and a smile that could melt any heart. Thank you for the great afternoon ladies. I hope you truly enjoyed the experience!? xo

Look out WORLD here comes Sam!

This afternoon Mel and I had the honor of photographing Sam in her cap and gown and beautiful grad dress. Sam will be graduating from grade 12 this month and I was happy that she wanted me to capture some fun, creative and non traditional graduation photos for her. I know that Sam is going to do well in what ever direction she decides to take in her life. She is smart, beautiful and determined (just like her wonderful mother). I'm proud of you Sam! Thank you for letting me be a small part of this important time of your life. (p.s. the apples represent each grade she has completed 1-12)
